Lucas Podolski is enjoying life as both a footballer and \’doner king.\’ The former Arsenal attacker owns 30 Kebab restaurants in Germany, raising his net worth to an astonishing £177.5m, including other businesses — a clothing and ice cream shop.

The 2014 World Cup champion got his kebab idea during his two-season stint with Galatasaray in Turkey. Street kebabs instantly became his ideal post-practice and post-match meal.

Goal to Grill: Lucas Podolski\’s Kebab Success

\”You eat doner kebabs when you\’re young, when you\’re still playing and when you\’ve finished playing – it\’s a perfect solution,\” Podolski said upon launching his Mangal Doner x Lukas Podolski shop in Berlin.

\”Ideas just come — I don\’t even really have a business plan right now,\” the German Pole added. He certainly knows how to take his shot.
